There is no specific treatment for dengue or dengue haemorrhagic fever.
Treatment for dengue is supportive.
In severe cases, you may require hospitalisation and aggressive emergency treatment with fluid and electrolyte replacement or blood transfusions.

After getting infected with one dengue virus, the body becomes immune to that virus but any of the other three viruses could still infect the same person.
It is possible to be infected as many as four separate times.
